That’s why, despite my criticisM, I’ve given 4 stars. I really hope to see these improvements in the future. If it really is a tool to help people learn, create and manage their multilanguage vocabulary, IT SHOULD HAVE A MORE COMPACT UI and BE FASTER IN CREATING AND CONSULTING THE CONTENT. The app seems to be turning into a "flashcards-oriented-kind-of-vocabulary-app" rather than a real vocabulary/dictionary builder. It ended up worsening the interface and the user experience. I am quite disappointed of how the app removed some good functions after the passage to versions 3.X to 5.X. I bought the apps for all the platforms but after almost one year and after lots of words added in many languages, the dream that the app would have managed my dictionary (rather than my vocabulary only) has turned into a nightmare and I ended up looking for an alternative…….This is a shame because the app is very very good and I love it, but it lacks a more efficient and user-friendly dictionary builder. Point 1 and 2 are even more essential for the iOS versions of the app. 3) the app should display somewhere a “comparison view” to see all the languages in one window (a "more than just 2 languages" kind of view). ![]() 2) the "filter tags” section on the left should also display the content in a more compact way instead of the balloon-like view. Word A/word A translation/tag/comments/etc - on just 1 slim line, so that the consultation would faster. It would be much easier and polished to have a smaller view to check the translations and their corresponding tags and comments on just one row (like in Wokabulary version 3). Why did they change it? With the present version scrolling down the word list to find the right translation takes a lot of time (because of the use of large rows and fonts). This app used to have the afore-mentioned user interface in version 3.X. 1) a smaller and more professional order of the words organized in rows and columns a-la Numbers or Excel to better find linguistic correspondences. The app is very good and its iCloud support works very well but the interface lacks some important functionalities on both macOS and iOS: Please updated Wokabulary with these features. ![]() the quiz function, very polished interface, but in terms of how one uses the dictionaries everything should run smoothly and faster. The way it looks like now makes it hard to use it when you have lots of words/tags/dictionaries.Īfter so many updates this feature hasn’t been implemented yet and that’s a real disappointment.Ī horizontal view would make this app a much more professional tool. It’d be faster to visualize the results, it’d save space and it would also be much more productive. Instead of displaying one large row with word 1/word 2/tags on top of one another, it would be much more efficient to display all of them on the same line, in a horizontal view. The app is very good but its user interface should be slimmed down and refined.
